U.D.O., the renowned German metal band led by former ACCEPT vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, is set to embark on an exciting North American tour this autumn

This extensive 22-date journey is scheduled to kick off on November 3 in Frenchtown, New Jersey, and will include stops in prominent cities such as Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Columbus, Montreal, and Toronto, with the tour culminating on December 7 in Manchester, Massachusetts.

U.D.O. recently unveiled their latest album, “Touchdown,” which became available on August 25 via Atomic Fire Records. This impressive 13-track LP was recorded at various locations under the guidance of producer Martin “Mattes” Pfeiffer. The mixing took place at Redhead Studio in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, and the mastering was skillfully handled by Stefan Kaufmann at ROXX Studio in Solingen, Germany.

Notably, the album features a guest appearance by violinist Stefan Pintev on the title track, while the bass tracks were recorded by none other than former ACCEPT bassist Peter Baltes. The album’s captivating artwork was created by Martin Häusler, who also played a pivotal role in capturing striking band photos for the new album’s promotional campaign.

In April, Peter Baltes officially became a part of both U.D.O. and DIRKSCHNEIDER, the two bands fronted by the legendary Udo Dirkschneider. Baltes had initially stepped in as a temporary replacement for U.D.O.’s bassist Tilen Hudrap, who was hospitalized after the band’s Munich, Germany show in September of the previous year.

It’s worth noting that DIRKSCHNEIDER is the name of Udo‘s band, and their performances exclusively feature ACCEPT material. Udo had originally announced eight years ago that his initial DIRKSCHNEIDER tour would be his last for performing ACCEPT songs. However, he has since continued to treat fans to select shows under the DIRKSCHNEIDER banner.

Furthermore, three years ago, Peter Baltes and former ACCEPT drummer Stefan Kaufmann collaborated on the songwriting for U.D.O.’s album titled “We Are One.” This remarkable album was a joint effort with Das Musikkorps der Bundeswehr, the military band of the German federal armed forces.
