Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon have officially announced the progression of their forthcoming biographical film

Collaborating with Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment, the project was first unveiled by Variety in October 2021. Set to delve into the profound love story of the iconic BLACK SABBATH frontman and his partner and manager, Sharon, the film will be penned by Lee Hall, renowned for his work on “Rocketman,” the biopic of Elton John.

In their recent podcast episode, Ozzy and Sharon, joined by their children Jack and Kelly, delved into details about the biopic’s development.

“By the time they finish this film, I’ll be dead… I wanna be alive to fucking see it,” the 75-year-old Ozzy, who is currently suffering from Parkinson’s disease, said.

“Movies take forever to make. Forever,” Sharon added.

When Sharon was asked which actress she would like to see play her in the film, she replied: “Florence Pugh or the little girl from ‘Game Of Thrones’.”

Spearheading the production are Sharon and her children Jack and Aimée Osbourne through their imprint, Osbourne Media, known for previous works such as the Showtime documentary “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne” and A&E’s “Biography: The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne.” Joining forces with Polygram Entertainment, Michele Anthony and David Blackman are onboard as producers. Andrea Giannetti from Sony is overseeing the film’s development.

Variety also highlighted that the film will incorporate music from both BLACK SABBATH and Ozzy Osbourne’s illustrious solo career, adding further depth to the narrative.

Ozzy Osbourne previously said of the biopic: “From what I understand, it’s about Sharon and I and our relationship. It’s how we met, fell in love, and how we married. She’s my other half. She grew up a lot with me, and I grew up a lot with her.”

“I hope it will be a story that everybody can relate to,” Sharon said. “You don’t have to be a fan of the music, because it’s a story about a survivor. No matter what life throws at you, you pick yourself up and you start again. It’s just an amazing story of overcoming everything that’s thrown at you in your life.”

Sharon added that the film will be “a lot more real” than the QUEEN biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody”. “We don’t want it to be squeaky, shiny clean and all of that,” she said. “We’re not making it for kids. It’s an adult movie for adults.”

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, icons of rock and reality television, have an intriguing love story that spans decades. Sharon Arden, daughter of music mogul Don Arden, first encountered Ozzy Osbourne, then the lead vocalist of BLACK SABBATH, when her father was managing the band. Their initial meeting wasn’t particularly romantic, with Ozzy being fired from BLACK SABBATH in 1979 due to substance abuse issues.

However, fate had other plans. Despite their tumultuous start, Sharon and Ozzy‘s paths crossed again when Sharon took on the role of Ozzy‘s manager in the early 1980s. As their personal and professional relationship developed, sparks flew, leading to a whirlwind courtship. Despite facing numerous challenges, including Ozzy‘s ongoing struggles with addiction, their love prevailed.

In 1982, Sharon and Ozzy tied the knot in a small ceremony in Maui, Hawaii. Together, they weathered the storms of Ozzy‘s substance abuse, infidelity rumors, and legal issues. Despite these hardships, their bond endured, strengthened by their shared experiences and unwavering support for each other.

Throughout their marriage, Sharon and Ozzy welcomed three children: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. Their family life became a central focus of their reality television show, “The Osbournes,” which aired from 2002 to 2005. The show offered viewers a glimpse into their unconventional family dynamics, showcasing both the challenges and the moments of love and humor that defined their household.

Despite their ups and downs, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne remain a formidable couple, standing the test of time and proving that love and resilience can conquer even the most formidable obstacles. Their journey together serves as a testament to the power of love, forgiveness, and the strength of the human spirit.
