David Vincent and Pete Sandoval’s I AM MORBID will perform MORBID ANGEL’s entire ‘Altars Of Madness’ album At Milwaukee Metal Fest
I AM MORBID, the musical ensemble comprised of former MORBID ANGEL members David Vincent (bass, vocals) and Pedro “Pete” Sandoval (drums), along with guitarists Richie Brown (EXMORTUS, THE ABSENCE, TRIVIUM) and Bill Hudson (NORTHTALE, DORO), is set to deliver a full performance of MORBID ANGEL‘s seminal debut album, “Altars Of Madness,” at the upcoming Milwaukee Metal Fest on Sunday, May 19.
The festivities will commence with a pre-party on May 16, while the main festival is scheduled to run from May 17 to 19 at The Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This year’s event promises larger headliners, an expanded array of food, vendors, live podcasts, and other exciting surprises.
The festival regained prominence in 2023 under the guidance of HATEBREED frontman and podcaster Jamey Jasta, Sound Talent Group’s Tim Borror, and The Rave/Eagles Club team, reminiscent of the venue’s historical association with the original festivals.
In October 2022, I AM MORBID amicably parted ways with guitarist Kelly McLauchlin (POSSESSED, DIABOLIC, UNHOLY GHOST) and welcomed Brown as his replacement.
Brown marked his live debut with I AM MORBID at the Grita Fest in Colombia.
The spring 2022 European tour for I AM MORBID marked the first occasion in 12 years that Sandoval and Vincent shared the stage.
Sandoval, now leading a life as a born-again Christian, departed MORBID ANGEL in 2010 due to surgery for a prolapsed disc.
Vincent bid farewell to MORBID ANGEL in 2015, subsequently succeeded by Steve Tucker, who returned to handle bass and vocals, having previously contributed to MORBID ANGEL‘s “Formulas Fatal To The Flesh,” “Gateways To Annihilation,” and “Heretic” LPs.
