A remix of DISTURBED’s cover of the song “The Sound Of Silence” has landed on Billboard’s dance chart

Forbes reports that a remix of DISTURBED‘s rendition of “The Sound Of Silence” by Australian DJ/producer Cyril Riley has secured the 34th spot on Billboard‘s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

Just a month ago, this same rendition made its mark on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart, quickly climbing to an impressive No. 3 position.

DISTURBED singer David Draiman reacted to the news of his band’s appearance on the Dance/Electronic Songs chart, sharing the Forbes article on X (formerly Twitter) and writing: “Holy shit”.

“The Sound Of Silence” was originally featured on DISTURBED‘s acclaimed sixth studio album, “Immortalized“, released back in August 2015.

In November 2019, a video of DISTURBED performing “The Sound Of Silence” on the March 28, 2016 episode of Conan O’Brien’s late-night talk show, “Conan“, surpassed a monumental 100 million views on YouTube, marking it as the first “Conan” clip to achieve such a milestone.

The studio version of “The Sound Of Silence” by DISTURBED ascended to the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard magazine Hard Rock and Mainstream Rock charts, marking the band’s highest-charting single to date on the Top 100. Additionally, its accompanying music video has garnered over 980 million views. Notably, the song has found its way into the soundtrack of “The Blacklist” and the video game “Rock Band 4“.
