Death metal vocalist Chris Barnes (SIX FEET UNDER) has criticized his former band, CANNIBAL CORPSE, for “price gouging” after a fan complained about tickets costs to the band’s upcoming tour.

On Saturday (January 29), a fan tweeted his disappointment in the fact that Live Nation is selling tickets to CANNIBAL CORPSE’s March 10 show at Ace Of Spades in Sacramento, California with WHITECHAPEL, REVOCATION and SHADOW OF INTENT for $105 each. “Damn didn’t know METALLICA was playing”, he tweeted. “How the fuck is it $105 per ticket for CANNIBAL CORPSE, WHITECHAPEL, REVOCATION and SHADOW OF INTENT at Ace Of Spades in Sacramento Mar 10th? Where do you get reasonable tickets?”

Soon after, Barnes weighed in on his own Twitter page, saying: “Yikes! Price gouge much lol” along with a couple of crying laughing emojis.

Earlier this week, Barnes made headlines when he said that watching a recent video discussion about the state of death metal featuring some of the genre’s top vocalists, including his CANNIBAL CORPSE replacement, George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher, made him “physically ill.”

Barnes fronted CANNIBAL CORPSE from their inception in 1988 through to 1995 before leaving to form SIX FEET UNDER, whose current lineup also includes another former CANNIBAL CORPSE member, longtime guitarist Jack Owen.
