CHEVELLE drummer Sam Loeffler recently confirmed that the band is currently writing a new studio album with hopes to record in the fall.

Speaking with New Jersey radio station WSOU 89.5 FM, Loeffler discussed CHEVELLE‘s plans for immediate future, saying: “We have some really fun festivals that we’re doing and just kind of summer shows, summer festivals and things like that. And then we have some pretty big tours that are coming up in the fall. And in between then, we’re writing another album right now. So hopefully we can get into the studio in November/December and have new music out in ’23, which is the thing that excites us. We wanna write, we wanna play — that’s our thing. So if we can get music out in ’23, because that’s what we do — we put out music, and hopefully we can keep new music coming out for the rest of our career. Keep going. We’re not old, so we’re just gonna keep doing it.”

CHEVELLE have been on the road in support of their ninth studio album, “Niratias“, which dropped back in March 2021 via Epic Records.

Niratias” was helmed by famed producer Joe Barresi (AVENGED SEVENFOLD, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE), and was recorded throughout 2019 and 2020.

The album sleeve for “Niratias” was designed by famed artist Boris Vallejo, known for creating iconic movie posters for such feature films as “Knightriders” and “National Lampoon’s Vacation“. His work has also been featured in such magazines as Heavy Metal and numerous other science fiction novel covers throughout the 70s and 80s.
