MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil had to cut short a recent concert due to struggling to sing this past Saturday (May 29) at the Boone Iowa River Valley Festival in Boone, Iowa.

It’s been over a year and a half since Neil took the stage, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and 14 songs into the performance, the MÖTLEY CRÜE singer humbly told the crowd “Hey, guys… I’m sorry, you guys. It’s been a long time playin’. My fuckin’ voice is gone… Eh… We love you, and we’ll hopefully see you next time, man. Take care” before walking off stage. You can watch the video footage below.

It would seem as Vince attempted to break into the CRÜE classic “Girls, Girls, Girls”, the singer struggled with his singing voice before addressing the crowd and walking off stage while his backing band — which consists of bassist Dana Strum and guitarist Jeff “Blando” Bland from SLAUGHTER, along with drummer Zoltan Chaney —continued to play the song.

MÖTLEY CRÜE’s “The Stadium Tour” with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS was originally scheduled to take place last summer but ended up being pushed back to 2021, and then to 2022, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
