Many thrash metal fans wonder “Will Robb Flynn ever return to VIO-LENCE?” to which vocalist Sean Killian has addressed in our latest feature video.

VIO-LENCE are thrash metal royalty hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area. Forming in 1985, the band’s early lineup featured guitarist Robb Flynn, singer Sean Killian, guitarist Phil Demmel, bassist Deen Dell and drummer Perry Strickland.

VIO-LENCE are known for their aggressive, fast-paced style of thrash metal. Their debut album, 1988’s “Eternal Nightmare”, is considered a classic of the genre with Robb Flynn’s guitar playing being a key component of the band’s sound.

Flynn left VIO-LENCE in 1989 due to creative differences with the other members of the band and went on to form MACHINE HEAD, which became one of the most successful metal bands of the 1990s and continue through to today.

Flynn has said in the past that he regrets leaving VIO-LENCE, and that they were “the best band he ever played in”.

In 2017, Flynn reunited with his former VIO-LENCE bandmates for a special performance at a Bay Area metal festival. It was the first time they had played together in 28 years.

Robb Flynn’s time with VIO-LENCE was brief, but he made a lasting impact on the band and their music.

We recently caught up with VIO-LENCE frontman Sean Killian and asked him the chances of Robb ever returning to the band. You can check out his reply in the video below.
