Guitarist John 5 has uploaded a video to social media of him playing along to the MÖTLEY CRÜE song “Too Fast For Love”, which can be seen below

The song is the title track to MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s debut album, which just celebrated its 41st anniversary on Thursday (November 10).

John 5 included the following caption: “Yesterday was the 41st anniversary of the amazing debut @MotleyCrue album #TooFastForLove (https://motley.com/music/too-fast-for-love) Happy Birthday! #MotleyCrue @MrTommyLand @NikkiSixx @thevinceneil @mrmickmars”.

Just last month, it was revealed that John 5 would be stepping in to the guitarist position within the band after founding MÖTLEY CRÜE shredder Mick Mars announced that he would be retiring from touring due to increasing health issues. At the same time, MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s Nikki Sixx praised John 5, saying he “checks all the boxes” as the new addition to the band.

Sixx commented on John 5’s addition to MÖTLEY CRÜE while answering fan questions on Twitter. Asked why the band chose John 5, Sixx said: “He checks all the boxes. He’s a insane player. Has respect for our music, is funny as fuck and has history with us and we’ve written some pretty big hits together.”

Nikki also commented on Mars’s retirement due to the ongoing issues related to his ankylosing spondylitis, an arthritic condition of the spine and joints. “He’s been a soldier along with us for 4 decades,” Nikki said about his longtime bandmate. “We will continue to carrying our legacy to Generations of fans and honor Micks request for us to keep touring as Motley Crue.”
