IN FLAMES‘ follow-up to 2019’s “I, The Mask” LP is expected to arrive later this year.
The upcoming album marks the band’s recording debut with American drummer Tanner Wayne, who is known for his work with UNDERMINDED, SCARY KIDS SCARING KIDS and CHIODOS. Wayne stepped into the role with IN FLAMES after drummer Joe Rickard split with the group in 2019 due to back problems.
The current lineup for IN FLAMES features American bassist Bryce Paul, who stepped into the role after longtime bass player Peter Iwers departed the band in November 2016.
Three years ago, IN FLAMES guitarist Niclas Engelin walked away from touring with IN FLAMES in order to focus on “personal matters.” Stepping in for him since then has been former MEGADETH and current ACT OF DEFIANCE guitarist Chris Broderick.
