Canadian pop-punk band SUM 41 have announced plans to split up following the completion of a worldwide tour in support of their forthcoming album, “Heaven :x: Hell”

Earlier today (Monday, May 8), SUM 41 released the following statement via social media: “Being in SUM 41 since 1996 brought us some of the best moments of our lives. We are forever grateful to our fans both old and new, who have supported us in every way. It is hard to articulate the love and respect we have for all of you and we wanted you to hear this from us first.

SUM 41 will be disbanding. We will still be finishing all of our current upcoming tour dates this year, and we’re looking forward to releasing our final album ‘Heaven :x: Hell’, along with a final worldwide headlining tour to celebrate. Details will be announced as soon as we have them.

“For now, we look forward to seeing all of you skumfuks on the road and are excited for what the future will bring for each of us.

“Thank you for the last 27 years of SUM 41.”

Heaven :x: Hell” still does not have an official release date as of yet however it is expected to arrive at some point this summer.

SUM 41 will be hitting the road with THE OFFSPRING and SIMPLE PLAN for the “Let The Bad Times Roll” 2023 tour.

Produced by Live Nation, THE OFFSPRING‘s 24-city tour kicks off on August 1 at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Washington, making stops across the U.S. in Irvine, Phoenix, Atlanta, Tampa, St. Louis and more, before wrapping up in Mansfield, Massachusetts at Xfinity Center on September 3.

THE OFFSPRING frontman Dexter Holland said: “One of the best things about being on tour is traveling the world playing to great audiences, and it’s even better when you can do it with your friends. We had sold-out international tours with SIMPLE PLAN and SUM 41, and we’re excited that they’ll be joining us this Summer in America. It’s going to be great!”

Deryck Whibley of SUM 41 said: “We’re so excited to be back touring the States with THE OFFSPRING and SIMPLE PLAN this summer! There’s nothing better than hitting the road with your friends, and we can’t wait to bring the tour to you. See you soon!”
