SOUNDGARDEN guitarist Kim Thayil joined THE PRETTY RECKLESS on stage Wednesday night (August 31) at the Moore Theater in Seattle, Washington to perform the song “Only Love Can Save Me Now”
THE PRETTY RECKLESS frontwoman Taylor Momsen posted photos and video of Thayill’s appearance to her social media, writing: “Thank you to the legendary Kim Thayil for joining us for an unforgettable night at Seattle’s Moore Theater…I’m once again humbled to share the stage with you my dear friend, what an amazing human being #KimThayil #OnlyLoveCanSaveMeNow”.
“Only Love Can Save Me Now” features Thayil as well as SOUNDGARDEN drummer Matt Cameron, and is taken from THE PRETTY RECKLESS‘s latest album, “Death By Rock And Roll“, which arrived in February 2021 via Fearless Records in the U.S. and Century Media Records throughout the rest of the world.
Another “grunge connection” fact about “Only Love Can Save Me Now” was that it was recorded at Seattle’s legendary London Bridge Studios, where such albums as PEARL JAM‘s “Ten” and SOUNDGARDEN‘s “Louder Than Love” were recorded.
