SLIPKNOT have honored a seven-year-old fan and drummer named Caleb Hayes after he absolutely nailed the band’s 2009 single “Sulfur” on Ellen DeGeneres’s daytime talk show.

Introduced by DeGeneres as “the cutest heavy metal drummer I have ever seen”, Hayes slammed through the SLIPKNOT tune on the March 2 episode of ‘The Ellen Show’ and was interviewed by DeGeneres after his performance drew a standing ovation from the studio audience.

Caleb revealed to Ellen that he’s been drumming since he was two years old, and credits his father for the influence.

The young SLIPKNOT fan was then gifted a Jay Weinberg signature snare drum by DeGeneres at the conclusion of his segment.

Jay Weinberg also personally saluted Caleb’s “fantastic performance” on Instagram, and told him that he had “made all your big brothers in Slipknot proud.”

SLIPKNOT are set to commence the first leg of their 40-date North American ‘Knotfest Roadshow’ tour on March 16 in Fargo, North Dakota along with IN THIS MOMENT and JINJER.
