Earlier this week it was revealed that the solo that metalhead character Eddie Munson on Netflix’s “Stranger Things” was playing in the trailer for the show’s final season was actually from METALLICA‘s “Master Of Puppets“.

In a new Instagram post, METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo has now revealed that his son Tye Trujillo actually contributed additional guitar tracks to the song for the Netflix series.

Tye of course is an incredible musician, just like his father, having filled-in on bass for such bands as KORN and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES and playing in his own group OTTTO.

The metalhead character of Eddie Munson has been appearing in heavy music media ever since his debut on the mega-popular Netflix series. The character’s DIO jacket worn in “Stranger Things” was actually provided by the estate of the late singer.

When it comes to METALLICA, word is they have a new album arriving at some point soon with guitarist Kirk Hammett saying in a recent interview: “Well, let’s just say that over the Covid years, we weren’t just sitting around on the couch texting each other, complaining about how we couldn’t work That was the exact opposite of what happened! We’ve been working through the lost years – so you can draw your own conclusions from that!”
