On the latest edition of The Loaded Radio Podcast, Scott Penfold talks one on one with legendary axeman and guitarist for THE DEAD DAISIES, Doug Aldrich.
Doug Aldrich is one of those guitarists who has played with anyone whose anyone in hard rock and metal. He founded the band BURNING RAIN with Keith St. John in 1998 and has played in bands such as WHITESNAKE, DIO, LION, HURRICANE, HOUSE OF LORDS, BAD MOON RISING and REVOLUTION SAINTS. He has also released several solo albums to great acclaim.
In 2015, Doug was touring as the guitar player for former DEEP PURPLE bassist and vocalist Glenn Hughes. In early 2016 it was announced that he would be replacing Richard Fortus as guitarist of THE DEAD DAISIES, where he was recently reunited with Hughes who is now fronting the act as their new lead vocalist and bassist.
In this interview, Doug talks about the latest release from THE DEAD DAISIES called ‘Holy Ground’, as well as working once again with Hughes. He also tells some great stories about working in WHITESNAKE, his relationship with Ronnie James Dio and that time he auditioned for a little band called KISS.
