Original KISS drummer Peter Criss has shared a new version of the ‘Dynasty’ era Song ‘Dirty Livin”

In celebration of the arrival of 2023, Peter Criss has uploaded a new four-minute video, filmed at the drummer’s home, which features the 77-year-old musician singing along to a pre-recorded instrumental track of the classic KISS tune. You can check it out below.

According to website Kissmonster, “Dirty Livin‘” is the only song on KISS‘s 1979 album “Dynasty” on which Peter Criss actually plays the drums. The remainder of the album would feature session player Anton Fig on drums.

The song “Dirty Livin’” was originally conceived in Peter’s pre-KISS band LIPS in 1972 and was co-written by Stan Penridge.

Peter Criss initially left KISS in 1980 and would return to the fold for a reunion tour in the 1990s and again in 2004. He was replaced by the late Eric Carr and then current drummer Eric Singer respectively.

Peter Criss played his final full U.S. concert back in June 2017 at the Cutting Room in New York City.
