MÖTLEY CRÜE are set to begin rehearsals this week for their first shows with new touring guitarist John 5

John 5, known for his work with ROB ZOMBIE and MARILYN MANSON, was brought in as the live replacement for original MÖTLEY CRÜE guitarist Mick Mars, who announced last October that he would no longer tour with the band due to his ongoing health issues related to the arthritic condition ankylosing spondylitis.

Yesterday, MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx posted to his Instagram, writing: “42 years and I still get excited about the first day of band rehearsal. Here we go………..”

John 5 was one of the people who commented on Nikki’s post, writing: “I’m more excited can’t wait buddy”.

In addition to co-writing the three songs on “The Dirt“, John 5 also collaborated with Sixx and Desmond Child on Meat Loaf‘s “The Monster Is Loose“. Sixx and John 5 also play together in the supergroup L.A. RATS which sees them joined by Rob Zombie and drummer Tommy Clufetos (BLACK SABBATH).

After selling more than 1.3 million tickets in 2022, MÖTLEY CRÜE and DEF LEPPARD and are going global in 2023 with their co-headline “The World Tour” along with special guest Alice Cooper. After the launch of European and Latin American dates, the U.S. dates will take place in August.

Produced by Live Nation, the U.S. leg of the world tour kicks off on August 5 in Syracuse, New York. The bands will bring their electrifying stage shows across America throughout the month of August including being the first-ever show at the H.A. Chapman Stadium in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
