MÖTLEY CRÜE and DEF LEPPARD’s “The Stadium Tour” is now the most successful trek in both band’s careers

Billboard reports that “The Stadium Tour” sold 1.3 million tickets and earned $173.5 million in total.

The biggest market on the tour, which also featured POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS, was Boston, which saw the bands putting on two concerts at Fenway Park on August 5-6 and selling 64,000 tickets, earning $9.3 million. Four shows surpassed the $6 million mark, with Charlotte, North Carolina; Denver, Colorado; Glendale, Arizona; and Inglewood, California all breaking the threshold.

The Stadium Tour” averaged 37,520 tickets sold each night, which actually drew over three times the audience that each band previously achieved on their own.

But it seems “The Stadium Tour” may not yet be over.  Earlier this month, MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil said the band are planning to continue touring with DEF LEPPARD on an international level in 2023. This would include stops throughout Mexico and South America in the spring and stops in Europe next summer.
