Canadian metalcore band SPIRITBOX and Grammy-nominated musician/DJ ILLENIUM have collaborated together on the new track “Shivering“.
The song has already been getting some live play by ILLENIUM, however the actual studio version of the track can now be heard below.
ILLENIUM said about the song: “Spiritbox has been one of my favorite bands for a minute and being able to work with them has been a dream. They’re incredibly talented and Courtney has a voice unlike anyone. Definitely one of my favorite songs I’ve been a part of.”
SPIRITBOX commented: “Watching Illenium work and create on the spot was such an amazing thing to witness and be a part of. It was an honor working with him, and we appreciate his willingness to push boundaries, and use his influence to bring metal to the masses.”
SPIRITBOX‘s husband-and-wife duo consisting of Courtney LaPlante and Michael Stringer made their debut with an independently released EP in October 2017, and gained a substantial cult following. In 2018, they found their musical counterpart in bass player Bill Crook and partnered with Pale Chord Music to continue to create and release music in single and EP formats, and in fall of 2020, signed with globally renowned label Rise Records.
