DOWNING Will Take The Stage With JUDAS PRIEST For Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Performance

Former JUDAS PRIEST guitarist K.K. Downing will be performing with his former band at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony

The legendary metal band will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year through receiving the Musical Excellence Award. Joining JUDAS PRIEST‘s current lineup will be former guitarist K.K. Downing and past drummers Les Binks and Dave Holland.

In a new talk with Ultimate Classic Rock, K.K. revealed that he’s ready to rejoin his former bandmates on stage, and hopes the fans like it.

Downing said: “I think we’ve probably got eight or nine minutes. I’m not even going to be able to break a sweat. The main thing is to represent the attitude and hopefully the legend of what Judas Priest is and has become and what it means to everybody who’s been on that very long journey through the decades with the band. And hopefully it will just kind of remind people and bring back some cherished memories of the heavy metal parking lots all around the world.”

Drummer Scott Travis revealed in a recent interview that JUDAS PRIEST‘s performance will be a medley which will feature a number of classics.

Travis said: “They give you a limited amount of time ’cause there’s obviously lots of artists that are gonna be performing. So they gave us a set amount of time to perform. And we decided we’re gonna try and work in a medley and do some of the Priest classics and put ’em all into a medley, which we’ve never done before. So it should be interesting.”

The 37th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony sponsored by City National Bank takes place on Saturday, November 5th, at 8 p.m. PST at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
