KILLSWITCH ENGAGE’s Adam Dutkiewicz has entered the studio with the band’s former singer Howard Jones to commence recording the debut album for their new project

Howard shared an Instagram photo of he and Adam in the studio back on May 5, which included the caption: “1st song done, 11 to go. #NewProject #Recording #HOJO #AdamD”.

Jones split with KILLSWITCH back in 2012 due to struggles with mental illness at the time. He went on to eventually form the band, DEVIL YOU KNOW along with guitarist Francesco Artusato (ALL SHALL PERISH), drummer John Sankey (DEVOLVED) and bassist Ryan Wombacher (BLEEDING THROUGH). That band released two albums – 2014’s “The Beauty Of Destruction” and 2015’s “They Bleed Red” – before changing the name of the band to LIGHT THE TORCH in 2017.

Jones always kept on good terms with his former KILLSWITCH bandmates however, and even made an appearance on the group’s latest album, 2019’s “Atonement“, pulling guest vocal duties on the song “The Signal Fire“.

Current KILLSWITCH singer Jesse Leach provided vocals for the band’s self-titled debut LP as well as for their sophomore album, “Alive Or Just Breathing“, before exiting the group. Jones took the singer position for “The End Of Heartache“, “As Daylight Dies” and the 2009 self-titled record before his split with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE in 2012. Leach returned to the fold at that time as the group’s singer.
