Kid Rock decided to celebrate America’s independence by posting a pro-gun meme that also seems to take a shot at the LGBTQ+ members of the U.S. military.
Consequence of Sound reports that Kid Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, posted a Kermit the Frog meme to Donald Trump’s social media site ‘Truth Social‘, which stated the following message:
“If you’re anti-gun, you don’t get to celebrate the 4th of July. You would have never fought back. Enjoy your pride month. Pussy.”
The shot at LGTBTQ+ Pride arrives one year after a video surfaced online of Kid Rock using a homophobic slur at fans who were recording him during a concert. Shortly after, the 51-year-old artist addressed the backlash he was getting by saying: “If Kid Rock using the word f**got offends you, good chance you are one,” he said, before assuring he has “a lot of love for his gay friends.”
Just for the record Pride Month is observed June.
July 4th happens in July….obviously.
Just to be clear, many people who actually fought and died for our country were also LGBTQ+ and many of those who served and lived celebrate Pride month…many women have too
Did Kid Rock serve?
I did not, but I don’t dismiss people who did with cheap slurs either pic.twitter.com/IO0jkuPL0t
