The Icelandic Phallological Museum has just received a donation from one of their most famous patrons, Cynthia “Plaster Caster” Albritton. One item in particular is an authentic cast replica for Jimi Hendrix‘s penis which will be on display at the museum starting June 1st of this year.

Jimi Hendrix was Cynthia’s most infamous cast and also one of her first, which she casted in February 1968. Cynthia told Rock Scene magazine ten years ago: “Jimi Hendrix was coming to town. He was my first real rock star that dipped his dick and it was unbelievable. We were the groupies that got to the hotel first and we were the only groupies in Jimi Hendrix’s room. It wasn’t our very first cast. I had tried it on a few civilians first to be ready for Jimi. He’s my biggest. No, he’s not my biggest. There are ‘bigger-ish’ others. But I couldn’t say whether or not he’s my most exciting. Because they’re my sweet babies and I am their mama and I’m very democratic with all my babies. I don’t like to play favorites. I love them all. The experiences were equally exciting and weird and different from each other.”

According to Variety, Cynthia’s “collection” also featured the shlongs of Wayne Kramer of MC5, Pete Shelley of THE BUZZCOCKS and Jello Biafra of the DEAD KENNEDYS. She eventually expanded into casting filmmakers and other artists, amassing a collection of 50 plaster “members”.

Albritton would use a dental mold-making substance called alginate on her subjects and would be forever immortalized in the KISS song “Plaster Caster”, and also in a 2001 documentary of the same name which chronicled her work.

The Icelandic Phallological Museum was “erected” by Sigurður Hjartarson, a collector of specimens from every single mammal in Iceland as well as many foreign species for a total of nearly 300 dongs.
