Ozzy Osbourne was honored with Grammy Awards in the “Best Metal Performance” category as well as for “Best Rock Album” at the 65th annual Grammy Awards pre-telecast ceremony last night (Sunday, February 5)

The event took place at the Crypto.com Arena (formerly the Staples Center) in Los Angeles, California.

Osbourne, who recently announced his retirement from active touring, is a previous three-time Grammy winner who has also seen a total of eight nominations in the past.

Ozzy wasn’t able to attend this year’s ceremony in person, however producer Andrew Watt and METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo, who played on “Degradation Rules“, accepted the award on Osbourne’s behalf. After accepting the award, Watt relayed a message from Ozzy, which was simply: “I love you all and fuck off.”

The nominees in the “Best Metal Performance” category were:
