GENE SIMMONS Reacts To IRON MAIDEN Being Left Out Of Hall Of Fame Induction

KISS bassist Gene Simmons has shown his disgust in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s neglect of IRON MAIDEN for the 2021 Induction ceremony.

IRON MAIDEN took third place on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2021 fan ballot, despite the fact that the band have spent 46 years in as an iconic metal act.

Other notable acts to yet be inducted are JUDAS PRIEST and MOTÖRHEAD among numerous others.

After the announcement of this year’s nominees, Simmons took to his official Twitter account to react.

“RR Hall of Fame is a sham not to include Maiden,” Gene Simmons tweeted. “Disgusting!”

Simmons is not the only member of KISS to argue that IRON MAIDEN deserves to be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Last month, Paul Stanley tweeted: “Regardless of whether it matters to them, MAIDEN not being in the @rockhall of Fame is INSANITY. Regardless of who is writing in or not, the Committee must induct them. They have helped spawn an entire genre of music. What else do you need to do?? @IronMaiden”

The Rock Hall states that artists become eligible a quarter century after their first albums were released, yet also claim that other “criteria include the influence and significance of the artists’ contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock ‘n’ roll.”
