EVANESCENCE have split with their longtime guitarist Jen Majura after seven years in the band.
The 38-year-old guitarist joined EVANESCENCE in August 2015, replacing previous six-stringer Terry Balsamo.
Jen’s departure from EVANESCENCE was announced via social media on Saturday (May 21) and read: “It has been a very special chapter in the band with our dear friend Jen Majura, but we have decided it’s time to go our separate ways. We will always love her and support her, and can’t wait to see what she does next! We are so grateful for the good times and great music we made all around the world together.
“We are hard at work rehearsing for our upcoming tour and will have some exciting news about the new lineup coming in the next few days, so stay tuned.”
Majura has previously released two solo albums, 2014’s “Jen Majura” and 2017’s “InZENity“.
EVANESCENCE‘s latest record, “The Bitter Truth“, arrived last year. It would mark the group’s first LP in 10 years.
