DEFTONES has announced the third “Dia De Los Deftones” festival which is set to take place on November 5 at Petco Park in San Diego, CA.
The lineup will also feature TURNSTILE, PHANTOGRAM, FREDDIE GIBBS, AUDREY, DESTROY BOYS, PROVOKER and COLD GAWD.
Tickets go on sale August 5 while exclusive VIP packages go on sale tomorrow, August 3.
With DEFTONES guitarist Stephen Carpenter recently sitting out of the band’s international touring plans, it’s pretty safe to assume that he will be present for the festival being that it is happening on American soil. Carpenter had announced prior to the band’s European tour that he’s “not ready to leave home and leave the country yet” with EIGHTFOURSEVEN and HORSENECK guitarist Lance Jackman filling in for him.
“As much as I would love to be on the road with my brothers, playing for all of our incredible international fans, I have decided to remain playing domestically for now,” Carpenter said. “With everything going on in the world, I’m just not ready to leave home and leave the country yet. I wish I can see each and every one of you, but for now, our good friend from Sacramento, Lance, will be fulfilling my duties. Although I’m watching from afar, I’ll be there in spirit with my Deftones family.”
