According to Nikki Sixx, MÖTLEY CRÜE originally invited VAN HALEN frontman David Lee Roth to share the stage with them and DEF LEPPARD for “The Stadium Tour” but Dave took a pass.

“I don’t open for bands that I influenced,” Nikki recalls Roth telling him, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“The Stadium Tour”, which also features POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS, was initially supposed to happen last summer but ended up being pushed back to 2021, and then to 2022, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Stadium Tour” will mark MÖTLEY CRÜE’s first live ‘shows together since their farewell tour…six years ago.

MÖTLEY CRÜE toured with POISON back in 2011 and DEF LEPPARD did a run of shows with POISON in 2017 but the upcoming trek marks the first time all four bands have hit the road together

David Lee Roth was the opening act for the February/March 2020 North American leg of KISS “End Of The Road” tour.
