SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor has completed the recording process for his second solo album at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada

Corey had begun tracking the follow-up to 2020’s “CMFT” back in early January with producer Jay Ruston, known for his work with such bands as ANTHRAX and STEEL PANTHER.

Bassist Eliot Lorango revealed the news of the record’s completion on Thursday night (February 23), while also sharing a few photos from the studio to his social media, adding: “All done recording the new @coreytaylor record out in Vegas @thehideoutlv Really awesome 6 weeks with everyone involved! Can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

Back in mid-January, Corey shared a clip of him driving to the studio to commence recording sessions for the new album, which had him saying: “I’m really, really excited. I mean, everything’s just bigger this time, man. Everything sounds better; everything’s running better; everything’s running hot. Instead of where I came from, this is where I’m going. Musically, it’s harder, it’s faster, but there’s still tons of stuff from the first album. So, there’s elements of SLIPKNOT, there’s elements of STONE SOUR, there’s elements of ‘CMFT‘; there’s elements of the stuff that I’ve been doing for years — just, like, cover-wise or whatever, just all the stuff that I’ve always wanted to do, we’re doing that. We’re just cranking it up and it all sounds so fucking good that I can’t even describe to you how stoked I am to be starting on this. And today’s the day. Today’s the day. Today’s the fucking one. So, let’s get going. Serious as a heart attack, nobody’s ready for what they’re about to hear. It’s for real. But first, we’ve gotta record it.”

Corey released another solo album back in February of 2022, made up of covers and acoustic recordings, titled “CMFB…Sides“, via Roadrunner Records. The release featured nine previously unreleased B-sides, covers of tunes that inspired Taylor, acoustic versions and live tracks.

CMFT” was recorded at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas with Ruston and Christian Martucci (guitar), Zach Throne (guitar), Jason Christopher (bass),and Dustin Schoenhofer (drums).
