Albuquerque, New Mexico metalhead mayor Tim Keller hit up the TESTAMENT, EXODUS and DEATH ANGEL concert over the weekend (Saturday, April 16) at the Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque for the latest stop on “The Bay Strikes Back Tour”.
TESTAMENT shared a selfie with mayor Keller from after the concert which included the caption: “Thank you to the mayor of Albuquerque Tim Keller @mayorkeller for coming to our show last night! We love meeting members of our thrash metal family! #metalheads #testament #testamentlegions #thebaystrikesback”.
Keller is a well-known metalhead who is often found at heavy shows throughout the city – even taking the stage to introduce certain bands like ANTHRAX and TRIVIUM.
“Albuquerque has always been pretty strong on the heavy metal front,” Keller told The New York Times in an interview four years ago. “What can I say, this is something I’ve been into for a long time.”
TESTAMENT, EXODUS and DEATH ANGEL kicked off the 2022 edition of “The Bay Strikes Back Tour” on April 9 at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, California.
